Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Solar Hub. These terms govern your use of this website and the supply of our products and services by Solar Hub NZ Limited (NZBN 9429048917339). By accessing or using our website you agree to these terms — if you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Use of this website
This website is intended for personal use only, not for commercial or business purposes. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of others. You may not use the site to advertise or solicit goods or services, send unsolicited messages or spam, post material that is illegal or defamatory, or knowingly transmit anything containing a computer virus or other harmful code. Any content you submit must be your own original material; by submitting it you confirm you own the intellectual property in it and authorise Solar Hub to use it on our websites and for direct marketing purposes. We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content at any time.
Quotes, pricing and installation
All prices include GST. Final pricing is subject to a site visit and acceptance of a revised quote (if applicable) before work proceeds. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, pricing and information in advertisements or on our website may occasionally contain errors or omissions — we reserve the right to correct any errors and to cancel any orders arising from such errors without obligation. Prices may change due to product availability, promotional offers, or supplier cost fluctuations without prior notice. Residential installation terms: maximum allowable roof pitch is 25 degrees; additional charges may apply for roof types other than tile and iron; adequate switchboard space is required and any upgrades needed to meet current standards incur additional fees; height access equipment (such as scaffolding or edge protection) is not included and may incur additional charges; multi-storey housing may incur an additional charge. Travel and installation costs are included for standard service areas — a travel expense may apply outside those areas.
Payments
Our standard payment schedule is 60% deposit on signing, 30% on installation day, and the final 10% on inspection and Certificate of Compliance. Finance options (including Q Card and bank green loans) are provided by third-party lenders under their own terms — fees and lending criteria apply.
AI communication and contact consent
By submitting your information on this website, you acknowledge and agree that Solar Hub NZ Limited (and its associated business units) may contact you using automated digital communication tools, including AI-powered chat assistants, SMS bots, or automated email systems. These tools are used to assist with enquiries, schedule consultations or site visits, provide solar energy information and proposals, and improve our customer communication experience. By providing your contact details you consent to being contacted via email, SMS, chat or phone, and to the collection, storage and processing of information shared during these interactions in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent or opt out at any time by contacting us or following the unsubscribe instructions in our messages. While our AI assistants are designed to provide helpful and accurate information, details should be verified with an authorised Solar Hub representative before making purchasing or contractual decisions.
Promotions and competitions
From time to time we run promotions or competitions. Each has its own specific terms and conditions which you must accept before participating, and which apply in addition to these terms. Solar Hub is not responsible for promotions hosted by third-party sponsors — those are subject to the third party's own terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, our websites, including indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other non-excludable law. You agree to indemnify Solar Hub NZ Limited and its directors, officers, employees and agents against claims arising from your use of our websites or violation of these terms.
